This CD features selections from two classic shows – Porgy and Bess and Carmen Jones; the former with music by George Gershwin and the latter Georges Bizet with English lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein.
Performed by members of the original New York Casts, included here are “Summertime”, “My Man’s Gone Now”, “I Got Plenty O’ Nuttin'”, “Bess, You Is My Woman”, “I Loves You, Porgy” and “Dat’s Love”.

With over 75 minutes of playing time, every track has been re-mastered and the booklet contains production photographs.
