The ENTIRE SCORE RECORDED LIVE in 2004 by the Comic Opera Guild, this recording is of the 1910 operetta The Enchantress written by Fred de Gresac, lyrics by Harry B. Smith and Victor Herbert (composer) and produced at the New York Theatre in NYC. The operetta had the distinction of being one of three Herbert operettas to open on Broadway within 35 days of each other: When Sweet Sixteen, The Duchess and The Enchantress. No one but Victor Herbert has ever done that. Kitty Gordon played Vivien Savary, an opera singer and Harold H. Forde was Prince Ivan, her leading man. Adam Aceto and Patrick Johnson are at the two pianos. Music was restored and conducted by Adam Aceto.
