Product Description
Like 'Rambliní Rose', this album is held in exceedingly low esteem by many pop vocal purists, and, like 'Rambliní Rose', this album was a huge hit (go figure)! Whatever its artistic merits, this 1963 album promises a good time and delivers with a repertoire drawn mostly from American standards of the early 20th century, and arrangements from the indefatigible Ralph Carmichael. Incidentally, it also sports one of the absolute high points of Natís recording career, his immensely moving rendition of the love song 'That Sunday, That Summer'. Other tracks are a bit less weighty, though...
The bonus tracks are similarly summer-themed and All-American: 'Goodnight Little Leaguer' (Nat lived and breathed baseball); 'Early American; When Itís Summer', and 'Summer Is A-Cominí In'.
