Product Description
The Modernaires are considered by music historians to be one of the most influential and innovative vocal groups in the annals of popular music. Focusing on the years of 1945 and 1946, as this volume does, The Modernaires, although popular in their own right, were still associated in the public mind with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Highlights of this collection include an alternative take of "There! I've Said It Again" (turned into a #1 hit in 1964 by Bobby Vinton), "To Each His Own" (which was later a hit for the Platters), and four previously unreleased tracks.
