Version: LONDON REVIVAL
Composer: Kalman, Emmerich
Lyricist: Brammer, Julius/Grunwald, Alfred
First presented in Vienna in 1924, this operetta is generally regarded as composer Emmerich Kalman’s masterpiece. Countess Maritza, who is forever on her guard against fortune hunters, falls in love with her land superintendent, unaware that he is the aristocratic Count Tassilo.
Together with the release of The Count Of Luxembourg and The Merry Widow these recordings are created to fulfil the desires of people to obtain operettas only rarely available in English.
